I do. Admittedly, we are in an “endarkenment” phase. That said, I am a full-fledged believer in the cyclical nature of Dao / Nature / In’Yo (yin-yang) and C.G. Jung’s concept of enantiodromia. Pulling up to a 30,000-ft historical view even of just the U.S., we see it e.g. slavery/emancipation —> Federal Reconstruction/Southern resistance —> White male property-owner-only voting/Women’s Suffrage movement —> Jim Crow laws/Civil Rights movement —> No LGBTQ rights/Legalized same-sex marriage —> Obama/Trump. It is tempting to see the present moment as a crescendo or perhaps “the last chapter.” But, the pendulum of psychic energy (individual or national/global) continues to swing until wholeness is found, until the mounting tension of opposites manifests a “third thing.”
